This one has been bubbling under for a while… but now it’s launched! Approached by Speakman Marketing Services, we worked closely together to re-brand a local 2nd hand furniture company. Previously ‘The Second Hand Shed’, they’re now known as Encore!
Re-brand in’eck!
These guys required a whole new look and feel to their business, to show that second hand furniture can be high quality and save you money! This also makes it pretty eco-friendly too, so they were keen to get a green shade into the design.
We went through a few different versions before landing on the ‘stamp’, which includes the tagline. This is the primary logo, but there is also a version without the tagline, as well as icon-only.
Brand Guidelines
I also produced a full brand guidelines document, including logo usage, typography, colours and images. This is a great reference for any business to have, and they’re very satisfying to create!
The Website
This is yet another custom wordpress build, but this one has a very important feature; eBay!
Encore do most of their business via ebay – a powerseller – is that the term?? So they didn’t want to splash out on a full custom made eCommerce website of their own, just to find they would be updating everything twice anyway.
I found the perfect solution in the Auction Nudge eBay plugin. Fully customisable, this was a ready-made product to make full use of their sizeable ebay shop. Each page on the site pulls in the corresponding category of furniture, so you can see which items they have available. If you want to look more closely at it, click the item to take you directly through to eBay and go from there.
